Congratulations to Kaito for getting 3rd in the ASP Japan Firewire, Little Thunder Shonan Super kids challenge JR Pro division !! He was in 1st until about the halfway mark. In the end he just couldn't find another good wave as time ran out. Kaito was surfing really good and too bad he didn't get another solid ride.

湘南で開催されたASPのプロジュニア「Firewireリトルサンダースパーキッズチャレンジ」で大橋海人が3番になった。おめでとう！ヒート中盤までは１位をキープしてたんだけどもう１本のいい波を見つけられなかった。海人は本当にいいサーフィンしてたけだけにもう１本が出なかったのが悔やまれるよ。

The North Shore finally came up today. It's been flat for about 3 weeks ! The forcast was 2-3 ft by the morning so I woke up at dawn and hit it but.... when I pulled up the waves were only 1 to 1 1/2 ft. Well it was better than being flat ! I ended up surfing Chun's. Even though the waves were tiny the walls were nice and long. Here's a sunrise shot.

ノースショアもついにサイズアップ。約3週間もフラット続きだったもんね！予報では朝一には２−３ftだっていってたから夜明けに起きていったのに、入った時はまだ１〜1.5ftくらいしかなかったよ。まあ、フラットよりはマシだけどね！チャンズはサイズは小さいもののロングショルダーのいい波だった。写真は朝日での１枚。

This is Holton's,inbetween Jocko's and Laniakea. The swell was hitting here the best with some solid over head sets but the walls were short.
